Easy as Pie Day Camp

Pie Day Camp!
 
MMMMMMM!!!! Come have fun learning how to make delicious pies at our 2 part day camp!
 
This camp will be Jan. 9, from 6-8 P.M. and Saturday Jan. 10, from 9A.M. -3 P.M.
 
Ages: 10 and up
Cost: $10.00
Limit of 12 Participants
(Please sign up only if you are able to attend both days of camp as space is limited.)

Please bring a rolling pin from home if available. Also, bring a sack lunch on Saturday.
Youth must be enrolled for current 4-H year.

Knitting/Crocheting Day camp



Starting January 13, 2015 we will be offering an 8 week camp all about knitting and crochet!
This class is for those who are brand new to knitting and crocheting, NO experience is required to participate in this camp!
Half of the time will kids will be learning how to knit and the other half of the time spent learning how to crochet.

The classes will be offered on Tuesdays from 5:15-6:30P.M.
Classes are scheduled for Jan. 13, 20, 27, Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24, Mar. 3
Cost is $20.00 all supplies are included.
Class will be held at the Bonneville County Extension office.
Age: For youth 8-12 years old
Youth must be signed up for the current 4-H year.

If child is not already enrolled for 4-H it will be an additional $15.00

Candy Making Day Camp for Youth and Parent





 
Candy for You and Me

A fun class all about how to make candy for youth and parents to enjoy together!

During the class you will learn how to make taffy, the science behind sugar crystals, and also how to temper chocolate and dip strawberries and marshmallows.

The class will be Saturday December 13th from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M.

Cost will be 20.00 per pair

Also you will need to bring a sack lunch.

Youth’s must be 4-H age 8-18 and be enrolled for 4-H for the current year and must come with an adult.

After Dec. 31st, enrollment for Livestock and FCS projects increase from $10.00 to $15.00

KNOW YOUR GOVERNMENT

Idaho 4-H Know Your Government (KYG)
 
Date: February, 14-16, 2015 ( President’s Day weekend)
 
Location: Boise at the Red Lion Downtown
 
The conference provides over 130 Idaho 4-H members in the 8th  and  9th grades the opportunity to learn more about our government. Those attending will receive first-hand experience on how Idaho’s legislative and judicial systems work. Youth delegates will participate in mock trials and legislative sessions mentored by legislators, judges and legal representatives. The cost of the conference is approximately $130 which includes registration, some meals, lodging and transportation. Scholarships are available that will GREATLY reduce the cost.
 
Applications are due to the Extension Office by November 14, 2014.

Recognition Night




Come celebrate with us Saturday, October 4th at 7:00 P.M. at the Bonneville County Fairgrounds Pavilion.

We are honoring the achievements of our 4-H participants for the 2013-2014 year!
We are so proud of all of the hard work they put in this year and want to honor their efforts from the county fair!

We will have refreshments following the awards that evening.

Archery Club Beginning

The Archery Club is beginning for the new 4-H year!

The first meeting will be October 8, 2014.

Ages: 8-18, Must be age 8 as of Jan. 1, 2015 

Meeting time will be 4:00-5:30 P.M.

Archery Club is planning on meeting every Wednesday from 4:00-5:30 P.M.

They will meet at Archery Idaho- 1363 Northgate Mile, Idaho Falls, ID 83401. 

Cost will be $5.00 per child every meeting, this includes equipment rental- target base, arrows, and bow.

4-H requires that children wear an arm guard. Arm guards can be purchased at Archery Idaho, Sportsman's Warehouse, or Walmart. 4-H will not provide them. 

Children must be registered for the new 4-H year which begins Oct. 1st. Cost is $10.00 for the year. 
Registration is available at idaho.4honline.com. If you are new just put in your e-mail address and create a password for a new account. If you are a returning 4-H member and cannot remember the password you used last year, call the office and we would be happy to reset it for you, 529-1390.

Sewing Club will begin Oct. 16

The  new sewing club will begin soon!

When: Thursday, October 16th.
Time: 4:00-6:00 P.M.
Where: Jack Hamilton Building- (up on the hill from the Extension Office Parking Lot)

If you have your own sewing machine please bring it.

Also, please bring the following sewing tools: Scissors and shears, marking pens, pins and pincushion, seam ripper, thimble, glue stick, needles, point turner, measuring tape, seam gauge.

The club will meet every other Thursday

 Dates scheduled:

October 16 and 30th 
November 13- (They will only meet once in November)
December 4, Dec. 18th.

Registration for the next 4-H year will begin on Oct. 1- fee is $10.00

Raffle Time!!

fundraiser. 

These  baskets will be raffled off at the Family 

Night  Potluck on Wednesday, 8/6 beginning 

at 6 P.M. All funds received help to provide 

scholarships for kids who need them.

Come join us for a fun-filled few days learning all about the basics of photography. Spend time discovering different techniques as well as practicing capturing the perfect shot and finally displaying your printed work. We will be heading to the zoo on Tuesday to find some great models as well!



Must bring your own camera, any type will work.

Shooting Sports Club


We are excited to offer 4-H Shooting Sports!!!


Meetings will be held at the Extension Office on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:00 P.M.

Ages 8-18

Limit of 30 Participants.

Summer Session Fee: $20.00

First meeting will be June 19th

Following meetings are scheduled for July 10, 17, 24, 31

There will be ear and eye protection and safety lessons provided.
Participants will be using airguns and air pistols during these meetings.
All airguns and ammunition are
provided.
