Ages: 8-18, Limit 20 participants
From: 9:00 A.M. 3:00 P.M. 
Cost:  $10.00
              Cloverbuds (ages 5-7) welcome if parent accompanies them for the entire time
 (Please bring a sack lunch)
 
 
 
Have fun creating a cookie sheet chalkboard and handmade magnets. All are welcome! Let your imagination run wild!
 
 
Youth must be registered for the current 4-H year. If you have not registered for this year go to:
Idaho.4honline.com and create an account. Fee for registration after January 1st $15.00.

Knitting and Crochet Classes January 5 through March 22




We are offering an intermediate knitting and crochet class for our 4-H Youth!

Classes will be Tuesday evenings from 5:15-6:45 P.M.
at the Extension Office.
 
The first class will be on January 5th.
 
Cost for this class is $20.00
 
Limit of participants: 10
 
Youth must have take a previous knitting/crochet 4-H course to sign up for these classes.
6 weeks will be spent on knitting and 6 weeks will be taught on crocheting.
 
Youth must be registered for the current 4-H year.

Idaho 4-H Know Your Government (KYG)
 

Date: February, 13-15, 2016 ( President’s Day weekend)

 
Location: Boise at the Red Lion Downtown

 

The conference provides over 130 Idaho 4-H members in the 8th  and  9th grades the opportunity to learn more about our government. Those attending will receive first-hand experience on how Idaho’s legislative and judicial systems work. Youth delegates will participate in mock trials and legislative sessions mentored by legislators, judges and legal representatives.

The delegate registration fee is $120.00 (meals, lodging and t-shirt) additional transportation fees to be determined.   Scholarships are available that will GREATLY reduce the cost.

 

 

 

Applications are due to the Extension Office by November 13, 2015.

Archery Club Informational Meeting Oct. 29 at 5:30 P.M.

 
 
4-H Archery is beginning soon! There is an informational parent meeting on Oct. 29th from 5:30-6:45 P.M. at the Extension Office located at 2925 Rollandet.
Archery club begins meeting on Nov. 4th.
This club is for ages 8-18. 4-H requires all shooters to wear an arm guard while shooting. Club meetings will take place at Archery Idaho located at 1363 Northgate Mile, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
Youth must be enrolled in 4-H to participate, there is a $20.00 registration fee for archery. To enroll go to Idaho.4honline.com Please call if you have any questions 529-1390.

Sewing Club Meeting Oct. 29th 6:30-7:30 P.M.

 
4-H Sewing club information meeting for parents and 4-H member scheduled for October 29th from 6:30-7:30 P.M. in the Extension office basement. 
 Our first sewing meeting is scheduled for Nov. 12th from 4:00-6:30 P.M. at the Jack Hamilton Building- (the building up on the hill behind the extension office).
 This club is for 4-H ages 8-18. You must enroll in 4-H for the year to participate in this club. The fee for the year is $10.00 Sign up at Idaho.4honline.com

ENROLL IDAHO




All Bonneville County and Jefferson County High School Seniors and their parents are invited to attend this event. We will be hosting this event at the Bonneville County Extension Fair Grounds in the Jack Hamilton Building.
 

We want Idaho’s high school students to go on to college. Enroll Idaho is a special event that aims to help them do just that.

On Tuesday, November 10, 2015, we're hosting Enroll Idaho events at 43 locations across the state. The free, one-night information sessions are open to high school seniors, parents/guardians and high school teachers and staff.

University representatives will be at each event to answer questions and explain the many paths to college. They will also let you in on:

• The long-term benefits of going to college
• Ways to pay for college
• University of Idaho academics and experience
• How to apply for admission and financial aid

4-H ENROLLMENT

It's that time of year to enroll for the new 4-H year! If you are brand new or returning follow the steps below to enroll.
If the youth participated in 4-H last year DO NOT make a new profile. Select I have a profile and put in your email and password. If you do not remember your password from last year you can click the forgot password button to get a new password. If you are having trouble with enrolling please call the office and we can help you, 529-1390.
 
 
4-H ENROLLMENT
 
Enrolling is a simple process. This will walk you through each step.


1. Look through Idaho 4-H Today (available online and in our office) and make a list of possible projects that your child is interested in working on this year.

2. Using a computer with internet access go to https://idaho.4honline.com

3. Select ~ I need to set up a profile~

4. Select ~ Bonneville  County~ from the drop down menu. Enter personal information and create a password.

5. Enroll member(s), selecting  from the list of clubs available, enter the    projects that your child is interested in working on this year.

6. If you are not sure which club you want to join contact our office staff and we will help place you in a club with similar project interests.

There is an enrollment fee for the 4-H year which is payable by cash or check at the 4-H office, located at 2925 Rollandet, Idaho Falls, ID 83402
 
Fees for this year are $10.00 for FCS and Livestock projects and $20.00 for Horse projects. If you enroll after January 1, the fee increases to $15.00 and $25.00 dollars.

We will be making fun Halloween crafts using recycled goods, including soup can mummies and glow-in-the-dark milk jug ghosts and jack-o-lanterns.

at the Extension Office. 

 It is Mandatory for all Leaders, Parents, and Youth that are participating in state fair classes.

Lego Robotics Meeting August 27th

There will be an informational meeting about the upcoming season of our 4-H Lego Robotics Team on Thursday, August 27th, from 4:00 - 5:00 P.M. at the Extension office. Parents and children are encouraged to come. Any parents interested in being a coach for Lego Robotics please attend! Lego Robotics is for youths ages 9-14.

If you are interested in being a new volunteer for this year and have not attended any other volunteer training, you must attend this meeting.
We will go over the procedures of being a leader and information about starting your clubs.
· Please make sure you have registered to be a volunteer on 4-H online
   ·  Contacted the office about doing a background check
·  Filled out the application with a complete list of reference information
· Watched the protecting minors training video

Just a reminder Record Books and County Fair Entry forms are due by 5:00 P.M. on THURSDAY JULY 23rd.
Ultrasound fees for livestock are due at time of entry: Sheep, Goat and Swine are $4.00 per animal.
Beef is $7.00 per animal.
